Eden Community Food Bank

Eden Community Food Bank is a non-denominational, charitable organization, working to eliminate hunger through food distribution to qualified individuals and families living in selected areas of Mississauga, as well as providing education and advocacy services to our clients and the general public.
We make all efforts to provide healthy, balanced food choices and to the extent possible based on constraints of product availability, provide choices that meet various cultural and dietary requirements. We also strive to provide basic need items, like personal care and hygiene products.
We provide food support for up to 500 hungry families every month – that’s about 1,500 individuals about half of whom are children. Our service area is the postal codes starting with L5N, L5M, L5L and L5K in western Mississauga.
Both food drives and fundraisers in the community are crucial in helping us provide food support to hungry families in our service area. The support of the community truly does make a difference. Every 20 lbs of food collected helps to provide emergency food relief for one person for seven to ten days. Every $10 donation helps the food bank purchase up to $100 worth of food for those who would otherwise go without.
